Hedge fire in Wolvey

Firefighters were at the site of a hedge fire in Wolvey for more than an hour on Monday.

The blaze broke out in the open in Leicester Road. Crews were called at 11.24am, with Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service sending a fire engine from Nuneaton. The fire was was under control by 11.46am and extinguished using a hose reel. Crews remained at the scene for a further 90 minutes.
