Eight men have been arrested and £3,000-worth of heroin seized following a police operation in Brownsover.

The eight men, aged between 17 and 49, have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and possession of class A and B drugs.

Warrants were executed on Thursday at two addresses in Brownsover, where heroin with a street value of around £3,000 was seized, as well as substances thought to be cannabis and cocaine, large amounts of money and other associated drug paraphernalia.

The men have all been interviewed and bailed to Nuneaton Police Station until Thursday September 18, pending further investigation.

Chief Supt Martin McNevin, head of territorial policing, said: “This operation was the result of a detailed investigation and provides further evidence of the success that Warwickshire Police is having in tackling drug dealing. Officers and staff are committed to protecting people from the misery and harm that drugs cause. We will continue to focus our resources in this area and work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice.”
