The heartbroken mother of Jordon Banton, who was shot dead on Friday July 25, said her “world has been torn apart”.
Lianne Dicey, from Rugby, said she was devastated that Jordon had been taken away from his family.
She said: “Jordon was my son and my best friend.
“They have taken that away from me and I will never be happy again.”
Jordon had two sons, Dontai, three, and one-year-old Daiton. He also had a nine-year-old stepson, Ryley.
Speaking of the killing, Lianne said: “It was such a shock. My God it was a shock.
“I don’t care who did it or what they get for it or whether they even go to prison.
“I don’t care because it will never ever bring my son home.
“I want them to know they have torn my world apart.”
She described Jordon as a quiet, caring and loving person who doted on his children and partner Sarah.
He loved music and was a keen rapper.
Jordon had two brothers, Joshua, 25, and Jacob, 21, and two sisters, Kirsty, 20, and Shaneece, 18.
Lianne, 42, said: “We are a very close family – Jordon lived for his family and he was a brilliant father.”
She added: “I want to thank all his friends that have been there for him throughout his life, especially his best friend Damion.
“I know Damion will be devastated about the fact he didn’t get to see Jordon before he died.”
Lianne said she had received hundreds of messages of support and the family had remained close at this difficult time.
She added: “We’ve had so much support from everyone, it’s been incredible.
“Jordon’s godmother Angela has been an amazing support to me, as has my mum and my partner Owen.
“He’s been by my side every second and supported me in every way he can.”
