Emergency services were called to help rescue a man stuck in fast flowing water.
At 9am this morning (Wednesday) Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service received an emergency call from the occupier of a vehicle that was stranded in fast flowing water off Church Lane, Harborough Magna near Rugby.
The water was over two feet deep and entering the vehicle.
Two fire engines and the water rescue team were mobilised from Rugby Fire Station.
A spokesman for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue said: “Upon arrival crews found the occupier of the vehicle marooned and unable to exit his vehicle unassisted due to the current of the flowing water.
“Fire crews rescued the occupier using a sled and dry suits. Crews were delayed for approximately 40 minutes.
“A request was made via police to close the road for the remainder of the day.”
