Men due in court after death of sheep near Rugby

Five men are appearing in court after police discovered six dead sheep in a vehicle on the M6 near Rugby.

Officers in Rugby made the gruesome discovery after stopping the vehicle between junctions one and two of the M6 near to Harborough Magna. The sheep were believed to be from a nearby farm.

The following have been charged in connection with the incident: Mircea Marinel Tamboi, 29 years old, of West Bromwich Street, Walsall; Damian Durac, 18 years old, address unknown; Elvis Slavu, 30 years of age, address unknown; Venus Corcoveano, 38 years old, of Caldmore Green, Walsall; Catalin Marian Scaficea, 37 years old, of Tasker Street, Walsall.

They are due to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday) and all have been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, theft and criminal damage.
