Rugby firm TFS is to open an £8.5 million centre at Swift Park later this month supporting clients including BP, Wrigley and Xerox.

Staff at the new 110,000 sq ft ‘fulfilment centre’ will pack and despatch over seven million orders for points-of-sale and literature from 27,000 individual storage locations, supported by a brand new fleet of vehicles, extensive high-level racking and custom-designed equipment.

The 81 staff at its current facility, located half a mile from the new site, will transfer, with a further 21 potentially joining by the end of the year.

Joanna Hoskin, of TFS, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to announce the imminent opening of our fantastic new facility.

“Not only will this move be positive for our clients, but also for the area and team tfs too – they’re really excited and can’t wait to get started.”

Dale Stokes, managing director of the combined TFS and MDA businesses, said: “Our Swift Park Fulfilment Centre is going to be an enviable facility of the highest quality, and further builds on both our reputation for innovation and stellar growth over the past three years.

“And as a market leader within the fulfilment industry, this move provides further evidence that despite that growth we’re not slowing down – moreover we’re actively looking to invest in further growth and providing and even greater service to the UKs brands and retailers.”

Work has already started on the Swift Park facility, which is due to be fully operational in August 2014.
