More than 70 jobs are coming to Rugby in the autumn when a new care home opens its doors.
Anya Court, in Dunchurch Road, has been described by owners Hallmark Care Home as ‘cutting edge’.
Anya Court manager, Stephen Neal, and the home’s customer relationship manager, Karen Handley, were joined by guest of honour Janet Watling from the local Rugby Dementia Support Group (RDSG) to help piece together the last of the roof structure on Tuesday.
The Anya Court team also made a donation to the RDSG to help continue its work locally.
Mr Neal said: “I feel in a very privileged position to be given this opportunity to deliver a new model of care for this care home in Rugby.
“It was great being able to add the final touches to the building.
“It has made me feel even more a part of the home and I can’t wait to open and start caring for our residents.”
Show Suites will be open in June this year and the home will open in October.
It will feature multi-award winning design initiatives and provide residential, nursing and dementia care.
Facilities such as the ‘corner shop’ and the ‘residents’ laundry’ room are designed to encourage independent living. It also includes a state-of-the-art cinema and the relaxing therapy room are designed to be luxurious retreats.
There will even be a café/bistro where residents and their family members can enjoy fresh coffee and homemade cakes.
