Olly Dibsdale, a year 11 pupil at Ashlawn School, suffered a serious brain injury after falling off his bicycle in High Street, Hillmorton on November 10 and hitting his head.

He is currently a patient at the Leamington Rehabilitation Hospital and faced missing out on the school prom, which took place on Saturday.

But Olly’s kind-hearted friends decided to take the prom to him by getting ready early and paying a visit to the hospital prior to the main event.

Olly’s mum Julie Dibsdale said: “It was such a lovely thing to do and we are very thankful to them.

“The staff dressed him up and got him ready on the day. It just meant that he didn’t have to miss out completely.”

The group of youngsters then headed outside where they posed for a series of photos together to mark the occasion.

Julie added: “Olly’s been at the rehabilitation unit in Leamington for the last five weeks and is making some progress – but it’s still a long road ahead.”
