Witnesses should call the police on 101

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy was knocked off his bicycle by a car in Rugby.

The incident happened at around 4pm on Wednesday June 18 on Bawnmore Road, close to Bawnmore Infant School.

The driver in a blue car failed to stop, and the victim stated that he heard the occupants in the car laughing as they drove off. He did not see in which direction they left.

The boy sustained minor injuries, which did not require medical treatment.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 249 of June 18.
