Arrests made in connection with bookmakers robberies in Rugby, Burbage and the London area.

Six people have been arrested in connection with robbery and attempted robbery at bookmakers in Rugby, Burbage and the London area during February.

Two people, a male aged 19 and a female aged 20, were arrested on Friday by officers from Warwickshire Police.

Four others, aged 18, 19 and two aged 20, were arrested in London by officers from the Metropolitan Police.

All six were interviewed on suspicion of conspiracy to rob. They have all since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The Metropolitan Police, Warwickshire Police and Leicestershire Police are continuing to work together to progress the investigation.

The robberies and attempted robberies that are currently being investigated include a robbery at Corals in Bilton on February 11 and an attempted robbery at Corals in Hillmorton Road on February 12.

Detectives in Rugby are also investigating three attempted robberies at Corals in Bilton on February 17, Ladbrokes in Clifton Road on February 17 and Corals in Bridget Street on February 18.
