Warwickshire Police has delivered letters to homes where high performance vehicles are parked to warn owners of the increase in vehicle thefts over the last few months.
The letter raises awareness of this type of offence and also contains advice on how to reduce the chances of becoming a victim.
The keys for the vehicles were stolen from the houses by way of burglary
Warwickshire Police crime prevention advisor, Ian King, said: “Next to your home, your car is probably one of the most expensive items you will buy.
“It is important that you make every effort to ensure that both your home and your car are as secure as possible.
“By following the advice contained in the letter you can reduce the opportunity for offenders to target you.”
