Police warning after ‘suspicious’ men seen trying to get into Rugby houses

Police have issued a warning after two suspicious men were seen trying door handles in Craven Road.

The two men were seen trying the door handles of houses in Craven Road, Rugby at around 9pm on Wednesday last week.

Officers, including a police dog, arrived on the scene within minutes but could not see the men.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “No entry was gained to any house at this time but residents are asked to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious to police on 101 or 999 if a crime is in progress.”

The two men were described as white males, aged between 16 and 19 years old, both tall and skinny wearing dark hooded tops.

Witnesses or anyone with information can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 500 111.
