White Men Can’t Funk (pictured) are one of the bands featured in the Rugby Music Scene 2014 calendar.

The band were joined by Go Primitive, MorningStar, Those Amongst Us Are Wolves, Lavondyss, Terror Swarm, The Final Chapter, Speak Brother, Kelik Fish and The Vault for the charity fundraiser.

Andy Walker from White Men Can’t Funk, who is taking part in the London Marathon next year, has organised a number of fundraisers for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Andy said: “I am running the London Marathon next year for Birmingham Children’s Hospital with a target of raising £2,500.

“My family owe a huge debt to the hospital and so I want to raise as much as possible. It’s a hefty amount but I am sure we can do it.

“We have plans to involve as many people and events as possible to help with the total.

“The calender specifically is an excellent example of how people can get together for an amazing cause.

“It’s been awesome working with the bands, some of whom have been quite far out of their comfort zone!”

Calenders cost £5 and will be available to buy at The Vault Christmas party on Saturday (December 21) and also at Sounds music shop.

If anyone would like a calender and can’t get hold of one email andy@rugbyrocks.co.uk.

If anyone can help with fundraising please email Andy on the above address.

Other events include mountain races, busking, gigs, bike rides and cake sales.
