Rugby MP Mark Pawsey has been promoted in the latest round of the Prime Minister’s reshuffle.
Mr Pawsey has been made Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Ministry of Defence.
The Conservative MP will report to Anna Soubry, who was made a minister of state recently.
Mr Pawsey’s new role will see him work with Ms Soubry on issues relating to veterans and service families, cadets and also with armed forces charities.
The MP recently graduated from the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme which gives parliamentarians an insight into the lives of British service people and the workings of the armed forces.
He said: “I look forward to working with the minister in the areas of responsibility and ensuring the appropriate recognition for the contribution our brave service men and women make on a daily basis.”
