An ambulance carried the patient to hospital after fire crews carried the patient from the boat

Ambulance and fire crews were called to a canal boat near Vicarage Hill in Rugby yesterday (Monday) after someone suffered a stroke aboard the vessel.

Two fire crews from Rugby attended with boats and water rescue equipment at 3.35pm. They launched a boat into the canal and carried the patient back to Vicarage Hill, from where the patient was taken by ambulance to hospital.

There is no information concerning the condition of the patient.
