A senior member of staff at a primary school in Rugby has been suspended while an investigation takes place.
The unnamed senior member of staff at Oakfield Primary School is believed to be headteacher Claire Bowen.
A spokesman for REAch2 Academy Trust, which runs the school, said: “A senior member of staff has been suspended while an internal investigation takes place.
“The allegations leading to the suspension do not involve pupils.
“It is important to state that suspension is a neutral act and does not suggest or imply any wrongdoing.
“It would be inappropriate to make any further comments on this matter at this time.
“We can assure parents that the school continues to receive, at all times, the necessary leadership capacity and support from the REAch2 Academy Trust, the Executive Principal and the Executive Headteacher as well as other senior leaders.
“Teaching and learning is unaffected and all pupils are safe and secure at all times.”
