The sun shone on crowds of the people who gathered in Dunchurch for the annual summer fete on Saturday.
Enthusiastic fete-goers got creative with costumes to tie in with Horrible Histories theme in what organisers say was a record year for fundraising.
Rugby Mayor Ramesh Srivastava opened the event and was impressed with the turn out and spirit of the revellers. The procession set off from Dunchurch Junior School before a packed programme was enjoyed on the on the playing field.
Mike Judge, MC on the day, said: “We were so lucky with the weather, it just added to the summer atmosphere.
“It’s a great chance for the community to get together, have a great time and raise money for some brilliant local causes.”
Proceedings were kicked off by off the talented Lawrence Sheriff Big Band in Rugby.
“They are absolutely amazing and they went down really well.”
Miss Dunchurch was in attendance as well as stalls, music, games and refreshments.
“I’ve been involved for 20 years and this looks like a record year for us which is brilliant.”
