Police are treating the death of a man whose body was found on the disused railway line at the rear of Dunchurch Trading Estate as unexplained.

The man’s body was found by a member of the public at shortly before 10.30am on Friday (January 31).

The identity of the white male, has not yet been confirmed but it is thought he’s from Slovakia.

A post mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Police are not treating the man’s death as suspicious at this time.

Police would like to hear from anyone who travelled along the former railway line in Dunchurch, which is nowadays sometimes used as a cycle path, between Tuesday January 28 and Friday January 31.

They are asked to contact Detective Inspector Roy Wheelwright at Rugby CID by dialling Warwickshire Police on 101.

Alternatively they can speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, or www.crimestoppers-uk.org

A post mortem is due to be held this week to establish how the man died and a report will be passed to the Coroner.
