A young woman looking for love is starring in the latest run of ITV’s hit dating show Take Me Out.
Student Bethany Brogden, 19, applied to the show in search of a date after being single for two years.
She made the line-up of 30 young women featured on the panel of the Saturday night show, presented by Paddy McGuinness.
Bethany, who lives in Binley Woods, said she was excited to take part in the Blind Date-style programme.
“I’d been single for two years and thought it would be a bit of fun,” she said.
“I sent in an application form and had to attend an audition in Birmingham. I couldn’t believe it when I heard I’d got through.”
She appeared for the first time on Saturday night.
“They told me to bring ten outifts as the shows are filmed one after the other.
“It was a struggle with my two crammed suitcases making my way to London on trains, tubes and taxis.”
Bethany was told by wardrobe staff none of her outfits was compatible with filming.
She said: “I couldn’t believe it after the struggle I’d had but it was lovely to be able to pick brand new clothes from their wardrobe.”
Bethany said one of the highlights was meeting Paddy McGuinness, whom she found “very funny.”
Bethany is unable to say whether she is one of the lucky ladies to be picked for the date.
See Bethany on ITV1 on Saturday at 8.30pm.
