WARWICKSHIRE Police has released a new video on YouTube as part of its campaign to fight hate crime in the community.
The video is part of the force’s REACH (Response and Engagement Against Crimes of Hate) initiative through which local policing teams work within communities to encourage victims and other members of the public to report hate crime.
Chief Inspector Mike Slemensek, Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Manager for Warwickshire Police, said: “Hate crime is still under reported, but we take all reports seriously and want more people to tell us what is going on so that we can do something about it.
“Our aim is to ensure that victims and potential victims are aware of how they can report hate crime, and also that members of the public in general are equipped to understand that they can play a part in fighting this.
“We hope that the video will help us to get the information to a wider audience.”
The video is one of three released by Warwickshire Police on aspects of policing - the others cover roads policing and volunteering.
