A Rugby man is preparing for a huge charity challenge spread across seven days.

Phil Hartley’s Costa Rica Traverse for Veterans in Action (VIA) is due to begin on January 25 and will last a week.

Phil said: “I will be traversing Costa Rica on foot, mountain bike, raft and kayak, from Pacific coast to the Caribbean in seven days. This includes crossing the continental divide at an altitude of 2330 metres.

“The trip is self financed, so all money raised goes directly to Veterans In Action - a fantastic charity who help former soldiers adjust to life in civvy street. Your donations are much appreciated. Many thanks.”
