Runners all dressed as Father Christmas took to the streets of Rugby on Sunday to take part in the second annual Santa Run.

The Rugby Santa Run 2013 saw 177 runners compete in the 5k race around town as part of the fundraiser, organised by the Rugby and Northampton Athletic Club and the Rotary Club of Rugby.

A total of 39 youngsters, parents and dogs also took part in the one-mile Santa Dash. The first runner over the line was Ben Musgrove, with Adam Wright in second place followed by Gary Wallace. The fastest female was 12 year old Georgina Woodward, while the one-mile dash was won by Jake Elliot, 12.

The event, sponsored by John Nicholls, raised around £2,000 for charity.
