The Rugby Churches Walk of Witness attracted more than 250 followers on Good Friday.
Christians from around the town met in Regent Place, where they sang hymns and songs, before processing around the town centre. They ended by gathering for an outdoor service at St Andrew’s church.
Good Friday commemorates the torture, mockery, crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ around 2,000 years ago. Christians believe he was resurrected on what we now know as Easter Day.
Bob Reeve, co-ordinator of Rugby Street Pastors, said: “The number of people who joined us was double last year’s attendance.”
