Bilton Junior School’s Summer Fayre was a great success despite the rain with thousands turning out to see X Factor finalists Kingsland Road.
Saturday’s annual event attracted nearly 4,000 visitors and former pupil Joe Conaboy, known as Connor, was ‘thrilled’ to perform at his old school.
Headteacher Andrew Edwards said it was an amazing day.
“The boys were fantastic on stage. Connor’s younger sister is a pupil at the school so we got her up on stage at the end to give her brother a hug.
“Once again we have had brilliant support from the community.”
Kingsland Road’s Connor said: “We performed ‘Dirty dancer’ our debut single for one of the first times so that was a real buzz.
“It was lovely to see some familiar faces, friends and family.”
