Woman rushed to hospital after cardiac arrest on a bus near Rugby

A 64-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after collapsing and going into cardiac arrest on Friday afternoon.

The patient was a passenger on a tour bus which had pulled over on the M6 just past Junction 1 for Rugby.

Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) were called out to the incident and landed at the scene of the incident at approximately 2.05pm.

The patient was successfully resuscitated and then sedated by a WNAA paramedic before being quickly transferred by land ambulance to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for further treatment.

The patient’s current condition is unknown.
