‘Streams in the Desert’ is the theme of this year’s Women’s World Day of Prayer, with special services being held around town.
Those taking part are encouraged to reflect on their role in helping others who may be experiencing ‘spiritual drought’. This year’s programme of worship has been devised by women in Egypt.
The day falls on Friday March 7. Bilton Evangelical Church in Main Street will hold a service at 2.30pm, with a service at St Andrew’s church in the town centre at 2.30pm and another at Paddox Methodist church in Hillmorton at 7.30pm.
The organisers envisage a “great wave of prayer” sweeping across 170 countries. Men are also welcome at the services.
