Women were '˜very fortunate' after escaping crash on M6 without serious injuries

Two women escaped without serious injuries after colliding with a lorry on the M6.

The incident happened on the M6 northbound carriageway between junctions 3a and 4.

One of the women was uninjured and the other suffered minor neck pain. They were checked over and discharged at the scene.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called just before 12.30pm today (February, 4 2016) and sent an ambulance crew and a senior paramedic officer in a rapid response vehicle to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “There were two women, both in their thirties, in the car

“They were both considered very fortunate not to have been seriously injured.

“After being checked-over, they were both discharged by the ambulance service at the scene.”
