Work will begin on 188 new homes in Rugby in spring

Work is due to begin in the spring to build 188 new homes in Rugby, which will bring more than £865,000 of investment into the town.

Butterfield Gardens, near Warwickshire College in Technology Drive, will include 188 new homes after the development was given planning permission by Rugby Borough Council.

Construction will begin on the site, opposite Junction One Retail Park, in the spring.

The development, which is being built by Taylor Wimpy, will bring £865,000 worth of investments into the town which will include £684,347 towards education provision, £62,000 for public transport and £32,388 for library facilities.

There will also be a contribution of £43,056 towards the Black Path footbridge, £24,729 for open spaces, £12,117 for highways improvements and £6,889 for riverside enhancement.
