Bin men called in to help clear snow as rubbish collections are suspended in Rugby

RUBBISH collections in Rugby have been suspended in Rugby today due to the bad weather.

Rugby Borough Council said this morning (Monday) that services have been affected due to the snow.

*Green bin collections have been suspended because untreated side roads are currently too dangerous for refuse freighters. Missed bins will be collected on their next scheduled collection date.

*Blue-lid bin collections have been suspended because untreated side roads are currently too dangerous for refuse freighters. Missed bins will be collected as soon as conditions allow.

*Bin collection crews and street cleaning crews have been redeployed to help clear snow and ice from pavements in Rugby town centre.

The few remaining outstanding bin collections from Friday’s rounds, when collections were suspended because the landfill site closed, will be collected as soon as conditions allow.

*All other council services are continuing as normal.
