Coventry and Warwickshire pharmacy opening hours over Christmas and the New Year Holidays
PHARMACIES across Coventry and Warwickshire will be able to help with a number of minor illnesses over the Christmas and New Year period.
Details of their seasonal opening hours are now available at www.coventry.nhs.uk or www.warwickshire.nhs.uk.
Pharmacies provide medicines and health advice to help with many illnesses and ailments including coughs and colds. Many are open over the Christmas holidays.
Mark Galloway from NHS Coventry & Rugby CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) Medicines Management Team, said: “People should make good use of their local pharmacy, many of which will be open over Christmas and the New Year holidays when other services may be closed. We’re urging the public to choose well this winter and pharmacies are the best place to get the right advice and treatment for coughs, colds and flu along with many other minor ailments.
“We’re also reminding people to make sure they have all the medication they need for the Christmas and New Year period and have ordered their prescriptions in good time to cover the holidays. Also please order only the medicines you need and help us cut down waste which can often increase over holiday periods.”
