Crick Boat Show date announced for 2013
THE canal world converges again in May for the 14th annual Crick Boat Show and Waterways Festival.
The show, which takes place from May 25 to 27 and is expected to attract 25,000 visitors, is organised by Waterways World in partnership with the Canal & River Trust and Crick Marina.
Over 200 exhibitors will showcase thousands of inland waterways products and services, from boats, engines and chandlery to holidays, brokerage and insurance. And the event offers an exciting programme of family entertainment, including boat trips, live music, children’s activities, arts and crafts stands, a large variety of food and drink stalls, competitions and seminars on boat owning, boat buying and living afloat.
Peter Johns, Publisher of Waterways World and Show Director, said: “Come along to the Crick Boat Show over the Whitsun bank holiday weekend at the end of May to enjoy a celebration of our canals. The Kingfisher Boating Marquee will be filled with exciting new waterway products and services and plenty of special show offers, while the marina will be packed with new boats to view.
“And there’s a fantastic programme of entertainment for all the family, including extra trip boats so that more visitors can get afloat. So come along to find out more about Britain’s canals and rivers and enjoy a great day out in the Northamptonshire countryside.”
Crick Boat Show 2013 will be open from 10am till 6pm every day except Monday 27 May, when it closes at 5pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance, saving up to 29 per cent on gate prices. Family tickets (two adults and two children) are £24 if bought in advance or £32 on the gate. Entry is free for under 5’s.
