Musicians took part in the Festival of Culture in 2012.

THE Rugby Festival of Culture, one of the town’s biggest and most popular events, will run from June 28 to July 14.

The festival, only in its third year, plans once again to serve up a fantastic feast of cultural entertainment, including music, dance, art, theatre, comedy, poetry, literature, walks, food and drink - so make sure you get the dates in your diary.

The festival, a showcase of Rugby talent, cultural activities, food and drink, attracted 7000 visitors to over 90 events, in 2012. Once again organisers are encouraging individuals, groups, organisations and businesses who want to get involved or support the Festival to get in touch.

Aftab Gaffar, Rugby First Managing Director, and one of the organisers of the event said: “The festival continues to grow and gain in popularity. This year we are particularly keen to hear from people who are interested in being part of the ‘Food Fayre’, street entertainment programme or ‘Art in the Park’ activities, as well as businesses who are interested in a variety of sponsorship or advertising opportunities.”

A free guide highlighting all the events will be available in early June. To receive regular Festival updates why not sign up on www.rugbyfestivalofculture.co.uk to receive our free newsletter.
