Jewellery and tools stolen as thieves target homes in Cawston, Stretton and Willoughby

BURGLARS turned off the power at a home in Cawston before stealing a number of items of jewellery.

Thieves targeted the house in Coventry Road, Cawston, between 8.40am and 7pm on January after forcing open a kitchen window.

They ransacked the home and switched off the power, before stealing a number of items of jewellery.

In another incident which police are also investigating, thieves smashed a window of a pick up truck parked in Magdelen Road, Willoughby during the night on Wednesday into Thursday this week.

They searched the vehicle and stole a glass nail gun, an angle grinder and a drill.

At 4.20am yesterday morning (Thursday) the owner of a van parked in Rugby Lane, Stretton on Dunsmore, disturbed three men as they were trying to break into the vehicle.

They stole some power tools before escaping from the scene.

The three men are described as being between 20 and 30 years old.

Witnesses or anyone with information can call police on 101.
