Local ingredients required for Rugby Food Fayre

Food businesses in and around Rugby are being asked to get involved in the annual Food Fayre returning this year.

As part of the Rugby Festival of Culture, the food fayre, which was held for the first time last year, will be returning.

Taking place on Thursday July 11 between 9am and 4pm, in Market Place, organisers are asking local food businesses to contact them if they are interested in being part of the popular event.

The mouth-watering event offers visitors a great opportunity to taste, smell and buy some tasty treats from over twenty-five stalls, selling a fantastic array of high quality food and drinks. You will also be able to pick up some handy tips from a variety of demonstrations running throughout the day.

The Food Fayre proved very popular with customers in 2012 and a number of local restaurants and businesses were involved. The fayre provides businesses with an opportunity to promote their restaurant/business, sell food for immediate consumption and demonstrate a variety of cookery skills – but organisers are very open to new ideas.

If you are interested in having a stall at the Food Fayre please call Chris Stanley on 07817 312718 or email info@ucltd.co.uk. Please note the number of stalls will be limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.

The Rugby Festival of Culture, is one of the town’s biggest and most popular events, and will run from Friday 28 June through to Sunday 14 July. The festival, only in its third year, plans once again to serve up a fantastic feast of cultural entertainment, including music, dance, art, theatre, comedy, poetry, literature, walks, food and drink.

A free Rugby Festival of Culture guide highlighting all the events will be available in early June. To receive regular Festival updates why not sign up on www.rugbyfestivalofculture.co.uk to receive our free newsletter.
