Man punches woman in the face in unprovoked attacked in Leicester Road

POLICE are investigating an unprovoked assault in Rugby.

The assault happened at about 9.30am in Leicester Road on January 3 when a 25-year-old woman was on her way to work and as she passed the Avon Mill pub a man standing on the bridge asked her what she was looking at and punched her in the face.

The woman continued to work, where a colleague reported the incident to police.

The offender is described as a white male aged between 19 and 21, about 5’ 8” tall, medium build and clean shaven

He was wearing a black baseball cap which had a big white Nike tick on, a black scarf which covered his face, a dark track suit top and dark jeans.
