PAILTON CRASH UPDATE: police appeal for witnesses to come forward

Police are appealing for information following a serious injury collision near Rugby.

Two men were seriously injured in a head on collision in Pailton yesterday afternoon (Monday) and police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward to help establish how it occurred.

The collision happened shortly after 3pm near the junction with Montilo Lane and the B4027, Pailton and involved a silver Volkswagen Polo and a red Ford Galaxy.

The driver of the Polo, a 20 year old male, suffered serious injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.

He was air lifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with suspected internal injuries and a broken leg. His condition is said to be very serious.

The male driver of the Galaxy had to be released from his vehicle and was also air lifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with suspected broken arm and leg.

PC Gary Wilson would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw either vehicle and the manner in which it was being driven before the collision occurred.
