Police hunt after thieves take car belonging to disabled Rugby man

A CAR belonging to a disabled man in Rugby has been stolen.

The theft took place on Friday in Farm Grove, Rugby, where the victim’s car -a silver Vauxhall Insignia - was stolen.

The vehicle was adapted for the use of the owner who is disabled. The steering wheel is adapted with a steering aid.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “This is the victim’s independence and has left him struggling with the normal day to day routines like shopping and getting him from a to b. He also works a distance away and will now have to use trains to get to his work place, putting extra time on his day. The sooner the victim is reunited with his vehicle the sooner he can get his independence back.”

Witnesses or anyone with information can call Rugby police on 101 quoting incident 0008 12/01/2013.
