Porsche stolen in car key burglary in Stretton on Dunsmore

THIEVES stole a black Porsche 911 convertible after walking through an unlocked door of a home in Stretton on Dunsmore and stole the kets.

The thieves also attempted to steal a BMW from the gated driveway in Church Hill but officers believe they fled with just one of the high value cars when they were disturbed by the occupants who were at home at the time.

The thieves crashed through heavy metal gates as they made their escape and the Porsche will possibly have suffered front end damage as a result. They drove off towards the A423.

One of the men is described as a male, approximately 5’7” tall and wearing a black jacket.

Police are also investigating whether the Porsche was later in collision with a car at the Tollbar roundabout at the A45. The vehicle officers believe may be the Porsche was described as a black sports car. Following the collision it drove off along the A45 towards Birmingham.

Any witnesses to the burglary which happened yesterday (Thursday) or who saw a black Porsche convertible being driven possibly at speed or erratically shortly after 8pm last night are please asked to contact DC 706 Richard Zarcone in the Burglary Action Team on 01926 415000 ext 3839 or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Officers believe the men may have travelled to the village in another vehicle and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a suspicious vehicle in the village before the burglary occurred.
