Rugby Borough Council overspent on town hall salaries

Borough councillors will have spent £106,250 more on staff salaries by April than they had budgeted for, according to a new report.

They also overspent by £18,860 on elections, including the police commissioner ballot. The net overspend in the council’s general fund is predicted to be £215,190. The figures will be discussed at a council cabinet meeting on Monday.
