Rugby firefighters called to chemical fire in Wolvey

Firefighters from across the county were called to a chemical fire in Wolvey last night (Tuesday).
Warwickshire Fire service received a call to a building fire in Wolvey at 8.30pm and initially sent out two crews from Nuneaton.
The fire involved a single storey building which was well alight and contained chemicals, sealants and machinery.
A message from the scene at around 9.20pm confirmed there was a chemical involved in the incident.
Due to the nature of the incident more fire crews were sent to help from Bedworth, Coleshill, Alcester, Rugby, Leamington, Atherstone and Hinkley.
At 10.10pm firefighters at the scene said the blaze had spread to an office building next to the original building on fire.
A spokesman for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue said that crews were likely to be detained for some considerable time.
