Rugby police warn of gold jewellery scam

Police are warning people to be vigilant following reports of a jewellery scam.

According to Rugby police, officers have had reports of drivers bring flagged down by a motorist in a broken down vehicle saying they’ve run out of petrol.

The motorists has then been offering gold jewellery in return for cash. Police say the jewellery is fake and worthless.

If anyone is offered jewellery in this way call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymousely on 0800 555 111.
