Second man charged with robbery at Tarratt jewellers in Rugby

POLICE have charged a second man with robbery at a town centre jewellery store.

Darren Lee Richard Pallas, 33, from Cross Green in Leeds has been charged with a robbery that occurred at Tarratt jewellers in Regent Street, Rugby on Monday September 3 last year.

Pallas was arrested on Thursday January 24 following extensive liaison with West Yorkshire Police in the Leeds area. He was brought to Warwickshire and later interviewed and charged with robbery.

Pallas appeared at Leamington Magistrates Court on Monday this week and was remanded in custody to Warwick Crown Court until March 11.

Jordan Robert Elis Mitchell from Mary Street in Bradford, West Yorkshire, who is now 25 years old, is currently serving 5 years imprisonment after pleading guilty to the robbery.

He was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday October 17.

A third man arrested on suspicion of robbery has been released from bail with no further action to be taken.
