Suspected stolen property found following arrest in Rugby
POLICE have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply and burglary.
Officers stopped the man in a vehicle on Sunday night.
The vehicle he was driving was stopped on Yates Avenue in Rugby around 5pm and when searched police discovered a large amount of what was believed to be cannabis along with some jewellery, suspected to be from a recent burglary.
A subsequent search of the suspect’s home address led to the recovery of more property thought to be from a burglary, which occurred in Rugby over the last few days.
The man has been released on police bail until February, pending further enquiries.
