Train disruption on Rugby line expected to last all day
A London Midland train
Damage to overhead wires near Milton Keynes is causing disruption and cancellations on the trains today (Friday).
Rail passengers using London Midland and Virgin trains face delays today after overhead lines were brought down, causing disruption which is likely to last all day.
A spokesman for London Midland said: “Due to the overhead wires having been brought down at Hanslope Junction, there are currently no trains running between Northampton and Milton Keynes. As a result, services on the Euston line will be disrupted all day whilst repairs take place.
“Trains can run between Northampton, Rugby and Birmingham New Street but as most services normally come from London, delays and cancellations are likely on this route too. We are extremely sorry if your journey is affected.”
