UPDATED: suspected burglars arrested in Cambridge Street, Rugby

POLICE have arrested two men in Rugby after searching a house in Cambridge Street.

Officers from the Warwickshire Police Acquisitive Crime Team in Rugby arrested the two men - aged 16 and 20 years old - on suspicion of burglary after carrying out a a warrant in Cambridge Street at 10am on Friday.

Two stolen motorcycles were recovered by the team who found them chained together in an outside shed. Two high value pedal bikes were also recovered from the shed.

Enquiries revealed that one of the motorbikes, a KTM 250, had been stolen in a burglary at Cawston on December 2 or 3. The second bike, a Yamaha, had been stolen overnight in Crick, along with the TREK mountain bike.

The other bike is believed to have been stolen during a burglary in School Street, Hillmorton on November 29.

The two men have been released on conditional police bail including a curfew while police enquiries continue.
