Work begins to regenerate Bob’s Cafe site near Stretton-on-Dunsmore

A DERELICT piece of land which has been abandoned for motr than 15 years is about to get a makeover.

Work on the derelict building, Bob’s Cafe, on the A45 dual carriageway near Stretton-on-Dunsmore has begun.

The site around the building is being cleared and will be brought back into commercial use, after planning permission was given for it to become a car sales business.

Ian Spiers (pictured left), parish councillor for Ryton-on-Dunsmore, has been working hard to bring this and other properties in the area back into business use.

County councillor Robin Hazelton (pictured right) said: “This improvement should prove a great asset to Stretton-on-Dunsmore and the surrounding areas and bring more business into the area.

“It will be a great enhancement to the approach to Rugby and its surrounding areas and it revitalises a well known landmark in the district.”
