London finals date for talented Rugby dancing trio

A TALENTED trio from the Christine Anderson Theatre School in Hillmorton have scooped top awards in a prestigious competition.

Amy Keenan, Kamira-Gee Hussain and Jasmine Webb took part in the Midlands finals competition held by The all England Dance Federation.

Amy, 13, qualified with her Scottish national, Kamira-Gee, 11, with her Indian national dance and Jasmine, 14, with her character Jabberwocky dance

All three dancers will now go forward to represent the Midlands in the national finals to be held at the Peacock Theatre in London at the beginning of August.

As soon as results were announced, the dancers went straight into rehearsals for Synergy, this year’s annual show at Rugby Theatre.

Dance teachers Vicky-Jo Gurney, Christine Anderson and parents said they were very proud of the girls and wished them well for the future.

Christine said: “The girls have done really well.”
