FOLLOWING a number of successful gigs out of town, a rock and punk covers band is returning to where it all began this weekend.
TOAD, an acronym for Too Old And Decrepit, will be performing at the Red Lion in Hillmorton for their first gig back in town on Saturday.
Bass guitarist Chris Hirons (pictured) said: “We’re really looking forward to playing the Red Lion again.
“It was the first pub to take a punt on us and we haven’t looked back since.
“It will be like coming home and we hope to pack the place and repay them for having faith in us.
“With TOAD fast becoming the band to see live, it promises to be a great night.”
As well as Chris, TOAD also feature Danny Sullivan on lead guitar, drummer Paul Gardener and vocalist Lee Jones.
Together they aim to provide an evening of nostalgia and tongue-in-cheek fun.
They cover rock and punk tunes from the 1960s to the modern day and they put their unique stamp on songs from artists as diverse as Lady Gaga and the Osmonds to Scars On Broadway.
TOAD will take to the stage at the Red Lion from 9.30pm on Saturday.
Music lovers are advised to arrive early. Entry is free.
