A stretch of the M6 was closed this morning after four cars, two HGVs and one LGV were involved in a collision.
The incident happened around 7am between junction three and two.
Two fire engines and a specialist road traffic collision unit were sent to the scene.
On arrival the crews stated the incident involved two HGV’s, one LGV and four cars.
Both the north and south bound carriageways were closed by the Police.
No one was trapped in any of the vehicles but medical care was administered by both fire service crews and the ambulance service.
Fire crews remained at the incident for 45 minutes.
