A £100,000 refurbishment project has taken place at St Mark’s Church in Bilton.

The work includes a new north porch, toilets and servery.

Access has also been improved in the churchyard.

Peter Shegog, information officer for St Mark’s, said: “We’ve had a completely new north porch, toilets and a servery installed for light refreshments.

“Feedback has been very favourable. Oak has been used and I’ve got to say it really does look something.”

Better pathways have eased problems for wheelchair users.

Mr Shegog said: “There are now ramp arrangements and a separate set of steps.”
